Lecture schedule

Each week there will be at least one main lecture session in CMU 302, Monday 4.30pm to 6.50pm and one dedicated workshop session also in CMU 302, Wednesday 4.30pm to 6.50pm. Lecture sessions will usually be broken into two parts (4.30pm to 5.20pm / 5.30pm to 6.20pm) covering two different topics. In Week 9 these sessions will be dedicated to class presentations. Workshop sessions will be focused mainly on the class research collaboration and your independent studies.

Guest lectures
We are privileged to have two other faculty members from the Department of Communication coming to talk with the class about their specialist areas of interest. The first is Professor Phil Howard who has agreed to talk about the politicization of CMC, the second is Ms Kathy Gill who will talk about the commercialization of CMC with reference to the blogosphere.

Although I will make every effort to stick to the schedule as it's presented here, I may need to make minor, last-minute changes to content and order depending on how the course is running. Please keep checking the schedule from time to time.
