Always visible in the left margin on every page are links to some tools, usually in pop-up windows, that you may find useful. All the tools are explained below. As you read about each tool, you may want to try it out by clicking on the corresponding symbol, either in the list below or in the left margin.

Contents opens a window with the Table of Contents. Clicking on any name or topic in the Table of Contents will take you to that page.

Calculator Calculator opens a window with a simple four-function calculator that you may use for arithmetic as needed.

Glossary Glossary opens a window of terms in alphabetical order. If you encounter a word or phrase that is unfamiliar, this window is a good place to look for help. Clicking on glossary terms highlighted in the text will automatically open the glossary window and position it to that term.

Search Search is not implemented in this preliminary version of Seeing Statistics. When implemented, Search will allow users to search for any term throughout the book.

References References opens a window listing all references used anywhere in Seeing Statistics. Clicking on references in the text also opens this window to the specific reference.

Comments Comments opens a window where you may make comments to be transmitted to the author or to the editor. We would love to hear what you liked and didn't like, your suggestions and complaints, etc.

Site Help Site Help changes this window to the first page of navigation instructions.

The next page illustrates the interactive graphs that are the heart of this book. Also illustrated are the tools associated with those graphs.
