I am a physical therapist currently employed as an Assistant Professor at the University of Washington - Department of Rehabilitation Medicine (Division of Physical Therapy)
The overall goal of my research is to use technological advances to develop objective measures and design interventions for individuals with Parkinson disease (PD). The long term goal of this research is to develop these measures into clinical markers by studying their potential to help detect early impairments in physical performance, monitor subtle changes in severity of the disease as well as monitor effects of therapy (medication as well as exercise) on disease progression in PD.
I am also an active clinician with the Life Care Centers of America for part of my time.
