UW junior Ross Nadal, with the help of Yangjuan native and high-school student Mgebbu Fagen, spent 10 days in July, 2002 beginning a survey of the nutrition and growth of Yangjuan's mothers and children. Ross and Fagen surveyed the previous day's nutritional intake of over 30 households, and weighed and measured 30 mothers, 10 fathers, and 74 children. |
