Assignment for Tuesday, November 18OK. Let's quote the class introduction again:"At the same time, we must be careful and critical. Is resilience theory a real contribution toward saving the world, or is just old wine in new bottles, new words for the same old things? Is it a valuable tool for action, or just a fuzzy-headed, ivory-tower set of slogans that we can't apply to real-world situations?" For today, we all need to try very hard to find articles that are critical of the concept of resilience and the theories and models of resilience thinking. So far, incredibly, I'm not having much luck. But let's all add to this page as we find things. |
