SYLLABUS

Course Description

This course will equip you to do independent research in music. Over the course of the semester you will pursue a research project of your own choosing, culminating in a term paper. At the same time, you will be exploring the tools and concepts involved in musical scholarship.

Grading Policy

50%: Assignments and Class Participation
50%: Final paper (including bibliography, outline, and sample paragraph)
