Topics to be covered:

1. . Kinetic theory of metals and semiconductors. Boltzman equation, linear response,
conductivity, Hall effect, Fermi liquid theory, plasma oscillations, screening.

2. Non-uniform semiconductors. Doping,  metall-insulator transition.

3. Superconductivity.

4. Magnetism. Types of magnetic structures, magnetic excitations, magnetic domains.

7. If time permits, quantum Hall effect.
