The Department of Geography at the University of Washington is proud to sponsor and host the Sixth Annual Cascadia Critical Geographies Mini-Conference.

As with previous critical geography mini-conferences, the emphasis here is to create a friendly, engaging, and fun space for critical geographers to share their work. We welcome critical papers and panel proposals from across the field of geography, and from spatially oriented scholars in other disciplines.  Graduate students are especially encouraged to participate. There is no fee for attending or participating.

Registration for the conference will take place on both Friday afternoon (3:30-5:30) and Saturday morning (8:30-9:30) in Smith Hall, Room 409. For directions to the University of Washington, and a map of campus, please see our Getting Here page. Friday evening, following the 5:30 panel discussion on neoliberalism, we invite all attendees to join the UW Department of Geography for a reception in Smith 409. For more information on the events and talks occuring throughout the conference, see the Schedule.
