Dr. Suzanne Hawley is a Professor and Associate Chair in the Astronomy Department at the University of Washington. Her research is primarily in stellar astrophysics, particularly in the areas of magnetic activity, flares, low mass stars, brown dwarfs, variable stars, star clusters and galactic structure. She is co-author of a graduate textbook with Neill Reid (STScI) entitled "New Light on Dark Stars" (Springer-Praxis). Suzanne also serves as the Director of the ARC 3.5-m Telescope at Apache Point Observatory. She is on the LSST Corporation Executive Board, the AURA Observatories Council and the AURA Management Committee for LSST.
