I am currently a postdoctoral fellow in the group of Herbert Sauro in the Dept. of Bioengineering at the University of Washington in Seattle. I am currently working on a synthetic biology project on designing and engineering evolutionary robust genetic circuits. I also am an advisor for the wet lab and software UW iGEM teams. I completed my Ph.D. in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics back in May 2007 in the lab of Richard Lenski at Michigan State University in East Lansing. My dissertation topic was "Survival and Experimental Evolution of E. coli Under Freeze-Thaw Stress."
