    2006, GIS Analyst: "Potential Economic Impacts of I933":  Land-cover Analysis
    The Bullitt, Brainard,  Russell Family, and Henry M. Jackson Foundations. With  Bill Beyers PhD, Paul Sommers PhD and Derik Andreoli Designed and implemented a land-cover analysis to decipher land-cover types on public/private lands in Washington State.

    2004 - ongoing GIS Instructor
    University of Washington Educational Outreach GIS certificate program
    Planned, developed and implemented a course curriculum for post-graduate professionals. Responsibilities include collaborating and coordinating with program instructors, hiring and training a teaching assistant, creation of course website, facilitation of learning through hands-on workshops and lectures, coordinating service learning opportunities with Seattle-based firms, public presentations at program information sessions.

    2002 – 2004 GIS Lab Instructor
    University of Washington Department of Geography
    Teach undergraduate and graduate students the principles of cartography and geographic information systems. For example: research problem definition, database design, data collection, data structuring, data analysis, information presentation and mastering the use of several GIS data processing strategies for geographical inquiry.

    2001, GIS Project Manager and Research Assistant,
    Economic Impacts of the Nysqually Earthquake" [FEMA] Federal Emergency Management Agency
    Managed the development of a web-based geographical survey. Responsibilities included conducting a needs assessment with FEMA followed by the design and implementation of a GIS and website designed for acquiring place-based data.

    2000, GIS Technician, City of Seattle:
    georeferencing engineering plans for “Virtual Vault” GIS project.
    Seattle Public Utilities
    Collaborated on large-scale GIS project that served to georeference City of Seattle capital improvement project documents. The end result is a digital archive that is searchable by location.

    2000, GPS Field Technician, Field Research Bolivia: " Longitudinal Glacial Recession Mapping"
    Surveyed the glacial extent of Laguna Glaciar at Nevado Ancohuma in the Bolivian Andes with Global Positioning Systems [GPS] for the development of time-series data intended to measure glacial recession.

    1999, GIS Intern, City of Seattle: Drainage and Wastewater Utilities Network Seattle Public Utilities.
    Perfomed data-base editorial work on a UNIX-based ArcInfo GIS workstation using a command line interface.

    2007, Cartographer, "State Trends in High Technology Industry in the United States:
    The Shift from Manufacturing to Services." For Willam B. Beyers

    2005, Cartographer:  "Peoples and Cultures of Asia" for Ray Scupin PhD, Prentice Hall Books
    Designed and produced a series of maps on Asian countries. Series was based on publishers printing standards.

    2003, Research Assistant: The Economic Impact of Technology-based industries in Washington State. William B. Beyers, Stephen J. Hyde University of Washington Department of Geography
    Analyzed, collected and processed data, produced shift-share models, designed and produced map series.

    Organized and conducted data development for location-based economic impact study.

    2001, Assistant Cartographer: "Alpine Lakes Wilderness": ALPS map with William B. Beyers
