EIU Online - Search all the various databases in EIU Online on country and business analysis. Each of those databases, Country Report, Country Profile and Country Commerce contains different pieces of information about the country. ViewsWire provides articles on companies, industries, and countries with news on events, situations and happenings that affect the economy and businesses around the world.

Europa World - Covers political, social and economic information about countries. Includes country maps and a directory of political and business organizations in each country.

CIA World Factbook - Choose your country of interest. Category content of each country includes an introduction, geography, people, government, economy, communications, transportation, military, and transnational issues.

Doing Business in ... - Doing business in are guides of doing business in various countries written by expert teams from the World Bank Organization. Look for the Doing Business guide for your country of choice.

United States Department of State - Under the Countries tab, look for information for the country you are interested in, and a list of key State Department Contacts.

United States Export.Gov - Quoting from the site, "Export.gov brings together resources from across the U.S. Government to assist American businesses in planning their international sales strategies and succeed in today's global marketplace".  In the left column under "Find Opportunities", check out Market Research. Find the Market Research Library. Search for country of choice for market research guides and reports on the country.

Lexis/Nexis Academic - Contains full text articles for thousands of trade journals, newspapers, newswires, and business, legal, medical, and accounting services. Also contains corporate annual reports, SEC filings, some international company information, and country data.

Ebsco Business Source Complete - Provides articles from journals, magazines, and reports worldwide.  Search on topics of interest regarding the country/countries, companies, products, and industries.

Proquest Newspapers  -  Contains full text articles from Washington State newspapers as well as major national newspapers such as New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, and Los Angeles Times.

Access World News - Contains full text newspaper articles from countries of the world.

Industry Information:

Market Research.com Academic -  Market research reports covering many different industries and market sectors. Search using appropriate keywords.  Eventhough the report may not be exact topic you are working on you may find related information. The report may contain similar demographic information, consumer behavior, or market information you may be able to use.

Forrester - Provides reports on the effects of technology change on businesses, consumers, and society, and analyzes such technology areas as new media, computing, software, networking, telecommunications, and the Internet. You'll need to register first before using Forrester. You will be prompted to do so when you first arrive at the website.

Gartner Research - Provides in-depth analysis and market intelligence for the information technology industry, covering the full range of products and technologies associated with computer hardware, software, communications products, financial services, electronic business, and healthcare application software worldwide.

Investext - Investext contains indexing and the full text of company and industry research reports prepared by leading Wall Street firms, as well as regional and international brokerage and financial firms.   First select "RESEARCH REPORTS".  Be sure to look for the "full search" tab.  The full search allows you to search under other criterias such as industry, regions, etc.

Standard and Poor's NetAdvantage - You can find many types of S&P full text publications in S&P NetAdvantage.   For industry information, look for the Industries tab at the top of the page.  Once you have selected that tab, it leads you to the industry surveys.  Be sure to also look at the left margin for "Global Industry Surveys".

Kompass - Directory information for 1.6 million companies in more than 70 countries, with indexes for company products and services, containing 23 million product and service references, and 500,000 trademarks and brand names.

International Financial Statistics Online  - The International Monetary fund's International Financial Statistics database is a standard source of international statistics on all aspects of international and domestic finance. It reports, for most countries of the world, current data needed in the analysis of problems of international payments, inflation, deflation, exchange rates, international liquidity, money and banking, interest rates, prices, production, international transactions, government accounts, and national accounts. Information is presented in country tables and in tables of area and world aggregates.
