Supplemental Information re: Content

Information on the totally antisymmetric tensor (or Levi-Civita tensor)

I have put a copy of our text, "Introduction to Electrodynamics" by D. J. Griffiths, on reserve in the Physics Library.

POISSON-BOLTZMANN EQUATION: P. Nelson, "Biological Physics"

QH505 .N37 2004 , p267

S. A. Safran, "Statistical Thermodynamics of Surfaces, Interfaces, and Membranes"

QC173.4.S94 S24 1994 , p 161

J. N. Israelachvili, "Intermolecular and surface forces"

QD461 .I87 1985 , Chapter 12

Boltzmann Factor (from Kittel and Kroemer, Thermal Physics)

average potential energy of a dipole and charge in a bath of temperarture T

Another book on dipoles: I suggest "Electricity and Magnetism" by Purcell QC21.2 .B474 1985 An excellent book. The only defect is that he uses cgs units. See page 304 .
