My research combines simulation and statistical modeling approaches to investigate the spatial and temporal dynamics of aquatic ecosystems. My current efforts concentrate on:

  1. exploring the effects of climate change and other human drivers on the life-cycle of Pacific salmon,
  2. investigating the integral role of anadromous salmon as keystone species in coastal ecosystems,
  3. comparing species interactions and stability in marine communities, and
  4. collaborating with a large group of scientists to produce an integrated ecosystem assessment of Puget Sound.
