- Developed algorithms in C/C++, tested and validated them in a clinical environment.

Insight Segmentation and Registration Open Source C++ Toolkit -ITK (2000-2005)
A state-of-the-art C++ open-source toolkit for image segmentation and registration.
      Role: Individual Contributor, Project Manager
      Customer: National Library of Medicine and Biomedical Imaging Community.
- Implemented image classification framework in the toolkit.
- Worked in a distributed environment along side developers and researchers at GE, Kitware and leading schools across US and UK.
Anatolytics (2000-2002)
A FDA 501(k) cleared radiology workstation with advanced data/image analysis capability.
      Role: Individual Contributor
      Customer: Pfizer and other client in the pharma industry.
- Developed computationally efficient algorithms in C++ for multivariate classification of MRI images.
- Worked with physicians for data generation and validation for FDA 510k product approval.
Real-Time Computer Guided Prostate Cancer Treatment System (2000-2007)
An integrated multimodality image computing system for routine intra-operative use in cancer treatment.
      Role: Project Manager, Principal Investigator
- Managed team of 4 to 6 (research scientists, software engineers,) as well as several consulting physicians.
- Designed the system and contributed algorithms implemented in C++ for use in prostate brachythrapy.
- Writing, reviewing documentation and code; validation and QA of the released software.
FusionViewer and Related Grants (2002-2005)
Propose, compete, win and execute different research projects as a principal investigator .
      Role: Project Manager, Principal Investigator
      Customer: National Cancer Inst., National Heart Lung and Blood Inst., Open Source Community.
- Managed and orchestrated the release of research products in open source such as FusionViewer
