Your grade in this course depends on your completion of all the required work, your participation in class discussions, and the quality of your revised poems. Three-quarters of your grade depends on the former two: if you complete all written work in a way that is timely and shows serious effort, recite the poems you memorize smoothly and effectively, and actively and thoughtfully participate in both group presentations and class discussions, you will get at least a 3.0 as your final grade. 

The last quarter of your final grade will be determined by the quality of the four poems that you revise as your final assignment.
