Background

A mainly European theme focused around big flavors and warm comfort food

Menu

  1. Cocktail
    Vişne Vision
    vodka
    sour cherry syrup
    FS OJ

    club soda
    kirsch-soaked sour cherries on a skewer
  2. Appetizer
    Mixed mushroom, arugula, and shallot phyllo bundles with lemon sabayon
    Chardonnay
  3. First course
    Golden squash risotto with P Reggiano and lardon
    Pinot noir
  4. Main course
    1. Lamb ragout with carrot, pearl onion, and rutabaga
      or
    2. Roasted chicken with pomegranate/walnut sauce (fesenjon)
    Side dish: mashed yukon gold potato with endive
    Shiraz, zinfandel, cabernet, or some deep red blend
  5. Salad
    Field greens with truffle oil + sherry vinagrette, shaved manchego, and caramelized pecans
    Pinot grigio frizzante
  6. Dessert
    Pound cake, frozen lemon custard, and blackberry sauce
    Essensia
    coffee, Ceylon Earl Gray tea
    Cognac
