  cd /usr/local/icecast2
  icecast -c icecast.xml &
  exit

as phurvitz:

  icegenerator -f /home/phurvitz/icecast/icegenerator.conf.3 (or whatever icegenerator file)

the icegenerator file reading from an m3u file:
