Acc. = Accusative Object (i.e. Dir. Obj.)

Adj. = Adjective  (a modifier)

Adj. Ph. = Adjective Phrase

Adj. C = Adjective Clause

            Adj.C/R  = restrictive adjectival clause

            Adj.C/NR = non-restrictive adjectival clause

Adv. = Adverb  (a modifier)

Adv. Ph. = Adverbial Phrase

Adv. C = Adverbial Clause

App.= Appositive

CMkr = Case Marker ("a" = acc. case marker: Acc Mkr; or "a"= dat. case marker: Dat. Mkr)

C or Conj. = Conjunction (un nexo sintáctico/linker)

            CC = coordinating conjunction

            SC = subordinating conjunction

CRP = Compound Relative Pronoun

CV  or  Cop.Vb = Copulative/linking verb

Dat. = Dative Object (i.e. Indir. Obj.)

DQ = Direct Quotation

Ger.= Gerund 

GerP = Gerund Phrase

Inter. = Interjection

IQ = Indirect Question

NN = Noun/nombre (a substantive)

NC = Noun Clause (a conjug. verb, a substantive plus its modifiers)  see types, & functions pp.

NP = Noun Phrase  (a substantive plus its modifiers)

OP = Object of the Preposition

PC = Predicate Complement

            PN = predicate nominative

            PAdj. = predicate adjective

Prep. = Preposition  (un nexo sintáctico/linker)

Prep. NC  = Prepositional Noun Clause

Pro. = Pronoun (a substantive)

PP = Prepositional Phrase

            PP-Adj. = adjectival prepositional phrase

            PP-Adv. = adverbial prepositional phrase

Sust.  = Sustantivo (noun)

Subst. = Substantive (nn, pron, & any word that can and does function as a noun)

S or Subj. = Subject/sujeto

V or VB = Verb

            Transitive or Intransitive

            Verbal Mood: Indicative; Imperative; Subjunctive +...

            Verbal Aspect: perfective; imperfective

            Verbal Tense: Imperfective (simple tenses except preterite]; Perfective: (compound tenses + preterite)
