1. Niquette Kelcher has been involved in online content development for over eight years as an editor, writer and producer for SmartPros Ltd., a New York-based educational firm that has roots in the Seattle dot-com scene. Niquette teaches MS Word for Editors and The Web-Savvy Editor for the Editing Certificate program through University of Washington Extension, of which she herself is a 2004 graduate. She is the author of Technology for Editors, a blog with "tips and tidbits for onscreen and online writing." Niquette has a degree in English/Education from Western Washington University and is a member of the Northwest Independent Editors Guild. She is a lifelong resident of the Pacific Northwest and currently lives in the Puget Sound with her husband and two young sons. She enjoys (most of) her manic mommy moments.

Niquette shares her experience with the Editing Certificate program and offers recommendations for students in the program. She also shares a list of her favorite books on writing and editing.
