Co-Investigator Beyond High School Project

Funded by the Mellon Foundation and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, this project follows several cohorts of high school seniors (N=9,,600) from the point of high school graduation through early adulthood examining an array of social and developmental processes,  and outcomes, including educational and occupational attainment, health and family formation. Because the BHS sample includes a high proportion of first and second generation immigrants, key avenues of investigation include processes of assimilation, acculturation, and ethnic and racial diversity in pathways to adulthood.

Current manuscripts in preparation or under review examine health disparities as influenced by race/ethnicity, class, and gender.
