HOW to learn physiology.

  1. Review your class notes EACH night for 45 minutes
  2. Check book to review figures and fill in things you missed in class
  3. Build your summary sheet for that system
    • first, draw a picutre and label it (anatomy)
    • second, indicate the function of each piece (physiology level 1)
    • third, figure out how it works, (physiology level 2)
      • what causes things to happen, what is the effect, how is system turned ON - OFF
      • are there receptors involved, if so what is the stimulus, where is the receptor located, what does the stimulus cause
  4. Now go through the study guide and answer the questions
    - DO NOT waste time writing out the answers to the study guide
just say the answer out loud, preferably to a study partner. who can check your answer.
  5. What still doesn't make sense (what don't you know)-- bring these questions to review/study sessions

>Study guides will be placed on WEB as topics are covered in class
