 OCEAN 220, Field Investigations in OceanographyThis
course takes students through the steps necessary to plan and implement
a scientific study in oceanography. Over spring break students
participate in a research cruise in Puget Sound. Results of student
investigations are presented at the conclusion of the course.
OCEAN 530, Biological Oceanography: Bacteria and Protozoa
Bacteria in the marine environment; fate of organic carbon in the ocean
and the interrelationship of the carbon cycle with other biogeochemical
cycles.
