- Protective factors:
- Antenatal steroid administration (shown in other studies also)
- Increased gestational age
- Greater birth weight
- Femal gender
- Hypertension or preeclampsia with no antepartum hemorrhage
- African-American maternal race
- Increased risk for ICH:
- Antepartum hemorrhage
- Breech presentation
