FATTY LIVER OF PREGNANCY

• Usually 3rd trimester
• Presentation: Vomiting, abdominal pain, anorexia, jaundice
• Can progress to liver failure and in some cases renal failure
• Treatment = Expedite delivery
• Diagnosis = Check LFT's, PT/PTT, fibrinogen, liver bx (correct coagulopathies before doing the latter)
