While we were out on our trip, many of us had the chance to get a really close look at some of the snow conditions.  Some of this was simply a matter of safety--if we didn't know what the snowpack was like, we stood the chance of getting into trouble with avalanches.  But some of us took the job more seriously than others.......

You certainly shouldn't think that Jen P. was the only one with her head in the snow at times.  We pretty much all managed to at one point or another (and another and another).  It was really just a matter of who had the cameras out, and when.

Steve snow-troll Henderson
But a lot of it was timing.  The picture on the left is Steve Henderson, with his characteristic snow beard.  I was trying to impersonate him one day, but the only way I could re-create the snow-coating was to fall a lot.  Lucky for me the camera caught me just before I fell on my head!
