How should I know where we are?

Actually, as much fun as we made of our guides (Ken Matheson on left, Tim McLean on right), these guys were unbelievable.  Apart from the sick jokes that started within the first hour of the trip (everybody blames Steve), we felt completely safe in their care the whole time.  Whether it was due to their extensive backcountry experience (something like 30 years combined),  the way they managed to keep all the skiers in our group satisfied with the level of difficulty of the terrain, or the never-ending stream of funny stories from them, these two guys made the trip what it was.  Even if we didn't have four meters of snowpack, with 2-4 feet of fluffy powder on top, it would have been fun just being in the back-country with them.
