This website was developed by Michele Acker, MN, ARNP. Michele Acker is a pediatric nurse practitioner and senior lecturer at the University Of Washington School Of Nursing. Michele attended the nine month Faculty Integrative Health Program (FIHP) sponsored by the University of Washington School of Nursing and School of Medicine from 9/07-6/08. This website was developed as an FIHP project. Michele would like to extend a special thank you to the two outstanding FIHP leaders, Jane Corman, RN, ARNP, PhD and Claudia Finkelstein, MD. They both have inspired Michele’s continued interest in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).
The website’s purpose is to provide on-line information about pediatric CAM. Many children and their families are using CAM and it is important that health care providers be knowledgeable about CAM.
