This is the sequel to the original Mechassault for the Xbox and like most sequels; it pretty much follows that same recipe that was employed for the original. The heart of the game is the same as the previous version. You basically pilot a gigantic mech and pretty much just blow up anything that gets in your way. It does improve on many aspects and actually adds quite a bit of new content. For example, there are now several different vehicles you can use instead of just mechs. For example, you can use a tank or a flying transport to achieve your goals. Also, there is a tiny power suit which you can use to fly around and climb walls. It also has the cool feature where you can use the power suit to run up and attempt to hijack enemy mechs. This process involves trying to sneak up on an enemy mech and then latch onto its back. This adds a nice element of tension as you really feel like a flea trying to latch onto an unsuspecting prey. If the enemy mech manages to spot you before you can get to it, it’s sure to be a world of hurt for you.

In addition to this, there are some other missions like try to steal all the enemy mechs from a base and whatnot which serves to keep the game somewhat refreshing and different. But in the end, the solution to most of your problems in this game is to just shoot first and ask questions later.
