The one line that sums this game up is, "Well, it was fun while it lasted." James Bond: Agent Under Fire is a first person shooter/race shooting game and can be seen as the next Golden Eye. There are two types of levels in this game, the standard first person shooter and then other levels where you drive an armed car much like Spy Hunter. Both levels are very well done, but very short. In fact, the entire game is very short. I played through it the first time and thought that I had only finished on section of the game and there must be at least 5 more sections. If you knew what you were doing, you could probably beat this game in under an hour, which is a big disappointment if you paid $30 for it.

Despite this disappointment, the gameplay itself is very fun. It is a very good first person shooter with great graphics and tight controls. In addition, they make use of several Bond gadgets in each level, which adds an extra level of dept to the game since you have more than just guns to work with. I'm ambivalent about the driving levels, you're not really driving and you're not really shooting, instead, you're doing a weird mix of the two. It's not good and it’s not bad, just so-so.

In short, this game got a low rating because it is super short with no real replay value. It's kind of like going to a really expensive restaurant and ordering a $40 dish that turns out to be less food than a McDonald's hamburger. It’s good while it lasts, but you end up feeling ripped off.
