The best word to describe this game would be “simple”. It seems that this game is directed at audiences with the ages in the single digits. You play as Rocket, a slime who lives in Slimenia (I’m not making this up). The story involves some baddies called the Plob who have kidnapped all of the residents of Slimenia and it is up to you to run around rescuing your fellow slimes. In total, there are 100 slimes to rescue. Although this might seem like a lot, the task is an absolute breeze because the game is so easy. I don’t think I died once during the entire game.

There are two main modes to the game. The majority of the time, you’ll be spending time in an overhead world where you run around finding slimes and battling ridiculously easy enemies (think of a way dumbed down version of Zelda). In these sections, you can also collect items and enemies. These items and enemies come in handy in the other mode of gameplay. In this other mode, you man a giant tank and fight against another giant tank. This mode is slightly more interesting than the main game mode because there is an element of strategy to it. You can fire items out of one of two cannons in an effort to damage your opponent. Of course, you opponent is doing the same thing. If two pieces of ammo collide, they are both destroyed. Since there are items with varying speed and other properties, there is a small element of strategy required here to be successful. Of course, the quickly becomes lopsided as the computer does not put up a good fight. This might be interesting in multiplayer but I never got a chance to test it.

The collection aspect of the game keeps things interesting for a while and this game kept my interest for about 12 hours. Ultimately, the ridiculous simplicity of the game is its major downfall and I wouldn’t really recommend this game to a friend.
