Wow wow wow! Fun fun fun! What a great game! The GBA has a very extensive library and it’s safe to say that this is probably very near the top (if it’s not the top already). This game redefines turn-based strategy in terms of innovation, fun, and replay value. I actually bought this game before I had a GBA because I heard so much hype about it. Believe me; every word of the hype is probably true.
The game has a similar feel to Command and Conquer. You basically capture cities, which raises money, which allows you to build units, which allows to you to crush your opponent. However, the action is not real time like Command and Conquer so there is a lot more strategy involved. Things like terrain, range, and special powers need to be taken into account. I think of the game to be like modern day chess with a lot more variables and a lot more fun.
Not only is the game fun, but it also has replay value like you would not believe. I have personally played through the campaign mode at least 4 times and have played countless war-room levels, and I still haven't unlocked everything. I've been playing this game for months and I still try to play it every chance I get.
Once again, this game is one that any decent collector needs to have and for only $20, shouldn't have any excuse not to pick up. It is sure to be a classic title and one that you'll be able to pick up again in 10 years and have as much fun then as you're having now.
