This game deviates from the typical Starfox setup in the sense that instead of just flying Arwings around in space shooter missions, the game also includes sections which require you to descent to the planet and shoot things on foot and in a tank. Although this sounds like fun, the ground based levels are executed poorly and turn out to be extremely boring and repetitive. In fact, even the space levels are kind of boring. Everything in this game is way too easy and shallow. Here’s an example mission: “Go find this enemy and then blow it up". This is pretty much the only type of mission that there is. Many games get away with this setup but in Starfox Assault, this just isn’t any fun to do because there’s no challenge in any of these missions. I’d pass on this one if I were you.
