This was the start of the traditional Christmas foot race. It started by Jon running out the door
at 12:00pm after opening presents. It seems that Gid and I forgot that he challenged us to a race,
"on Christmas day at high noon". Naturally, Gid and I threw on our shoes and ran after him.
The goal was to get from our house to the south end QFC parking lot using any route we wanted. It started
out with me and Jon running up Gallagher hill. Gid made the mistake of going through shorewood which took
way too long and effectively put him out of the race.
Jon and I continued neck and neck past Island Park. Here, Jon decided to try and crash through some bushes
to try and save time, but it ended up costing him. I simply ran along Island Crest Way and easily beat
them to the parking lot, thus claiming my first victory of the annual foot race.
