This course includes a variety of assignments, very short quizzes, and a final examination that vary from quarter to quarter. This term the course has three written assignments to complete. The assignments are designed to illustrate and apply the course content and to provide students with an opportunity to participate in class discussions.  Two of the assignments have several components to be completed over several days and discussed in class, allowing for revision. The specific descriptions of the assignments are provided through this web site (links on the left). Students should bring to class a copy of each assignment description according to the date indicated on the syllabus. Due dates are listed on the syllabus and on each assignment description. Grading is explained on the assignment description.
