Leaf Growth Lab

  About

How do leaves grow? What determines the rate of growth? How is leaf growth and behavior regulated in changing environments? We use a variety of model systems, agricultural and wild plants, including Arabidopsis, bean, pea, tobacco, maize, poplar, and Mimulus. From focus on individual growing cells, we aim to understand how leaves grow, sense and respond to their surroundings, and signal to the rest of the plant.
