A little bit of history if you'd like to know more about me.  I was born in Tangier, Morocco although eventually raised in Madrid, where my family lives at present.  I worked in Madrid as a Senior Electrical Technician with GRUNDIG.  Three years later, the constant learning of new technologies (and I thought studying was over!) pushed me to switch gears and to join the BERLITZ Schools of Languages as a Management Trainee.  After learning the administrative procedures and teaching Spanish and French mostly to foreign executives, I was promoted to Director of its new branch in Bilbao, Spain, where I lived for about 4 years.

Before coming to the US in 1984, I was the Managing Director of an Import Export company in Caracas, Venezuela, specializing in cosmetics and beauty aids.   I left very good friends in that beautiful country and I miss them quite a bit.  You may ask yourselves: "What a life!: Engineering, Business, Teaching... What else?" That's it, folks, I found my way... I'll be a teacher for the rest of my life since I really enjoy my profession as all my students can tell.

So, enough about my past... Now you can find me, Monday through Friday, at the University of Washington.   Although I've been teaching French & Spanish in the past, I am at present a Lecturer teaching Spanish in the department of Spanish & Portuguese Studies.  My office is located in Padelford Hall, C-204, where I'm available Mondays and Wednesdays, from 11:30 to 12:30. (Winter 2008)
