Is the organization Barnevik describes at ABB consistent with Barlett and Ghoshal's implicit recommendations for a multinational company? In other words, if you were to build a company based upon Barlett and Ghoshal's article, would it be managed like ABB? What would be different? Why? (Note: This question addresses the issues of leadership and organization, not product-market choices.)
