Welcome

Mejuah-juah. Selamat datang.

My name is Geoff Kushnick. I am a biocultural anthropologist with expertise in
human behavioral ecology, which means I study the adaptive nature of human behavior
in social, cultural, and ecological context.

I received a PhD in Biocultural Anthropology from the University of Washington, Seattle, in 2006. My research was an analysis of quantitative ethnographic data on reproduction, parenting, and child health collected among the Karo Batak people of North Sumatra, Indonesia.

Currenty, I am a Full Time Lecturer in the Department of Anthropology at the University of Washington, teaching biocultural and general anthropology courses, as well as those in the new Medical Anthropology and Global Health (MAGH) track.
