The Center for Advanced Research Technology in the Arts and Humanities (CARTAH)

CARTAH serves a diverse group of faculty and students across 17 departments. It's mission is to promote the development of a community of artists and scholars engaged in technology-based work, to foster liaisons between this research community and the University's arts and humanities departments, and to provide state-of-the-art computing and media resources.

Study-Skills Workshops The UW Student Counseling Center offers a series of free study-smarter workshops designed to help students become more effective, efficient, and motivated. You may attend any or all of the workshops. To attend the workshop of your choice, just stop by Mary Gates Hall, room171, 10 minutes ahead of time to register. Also, we are continuing to offer Study Skills workshops daily at the Student Counseling Center. Students may call 543-1240 to register for (or get info about) these.
General content areas of these workshops include: Memory/Memorization; Reading/Listening/Notetaking; Test-Taking Skills/Dealing with Test Anxiety; Time Management/Procrastination; and Stress Management.

The Student Counseling Center is once again offering Study Skills Workshops. Topics include Memory and Memorization; Learning from Your Textbooks/Listening/Notetaking; Test-Taking Skills; Time Management and Dealing with Procrastination; and Stress Management and Dealing Test Anxiety. Workshops are one and a half hours long and are held at the Student Counseling Center (Schmitz Hall, Room 401). Cost is $5 per workshop. Students may call the Student Counseling Center for further information or to register.
