AWG Fall Meeting 2000: Theme: Geographical Education in Washington State. Where: Bellevue Community College [Details! Click!] Date: Saturday, Oct 21, 2000 Time: 8:00 for Coffee and Socializing; 8:30 for Welcome & Keynote Program & Schedule (Click!) Who Should Attend: Professional Geographers: You will learn about programs that will influence the geographic knowledge of young citizens. College and University Instructors: You will learn about K-12 programs that will influence the geographic knowledge of future students. K-12 teachers: You will learn about changes in the K-12 geography essentials. You will hear about changes and directions in the college and university system that will have implications for your students and you will hear about plans for the geography alliance. (Clock hours are available through Western Washington University. Check the AWG web for details) Students: You will find out about changes in the K-12 system and in university programs that could have an impact on your decisions concerning a university geography program. Lunch: Lunch will be an informal buffet. The cost will be $6.00 payable at BCC. Please let Neil Sorenson know by 18 October if you plan on attending the lunch.
