Meeting all the participants, establishing ground rules and starting to work together.
training class (back)
Monday - Friday, 12.30-2pm. Meany Hall Studio 265, Upper Level
Facilitated by Jürg Koch the class incorporates aspects of traditional technique class, improvisation and composition to train a comprehensive range of dance skills for a diversity of participants. Over five days the sessions develop towards a repeatable formal class developing increasingly complex movement phrases. All these sessions are accompanied by Paul Moore.
Monday - Friday (except Thursday), 12.30-2pm. Meany Hall Studio 265, Upper Level
Facilitated by Jürg Koch the group develops choreographic sections in a workshop format. We will work in solo, partner and group formats along specific and directed tasks. Informed by the UCHRI residency at UCIrvine, this year’s project develops and recreates the Perspectices/Perception score integrating movement experience and description. Work examples

This free taster session opens up the studio doors to the wider Seattle dance community and newly interested participants. We will work with material from the training class and lead into an open improvisation.

Guest session with UW faculty Juliet McMains, jointly exploring access to social dance forms. This is an open community session.
