Dance Majors Concert
Every year the Dance Program stages a concert with work from their Dance Majors. This annual concert of contemporary dance works represents the culminating performance experience for the Dance Major choreographers and the undergraduate dancers involved. The pieces are created over a two term period.
Concert Dates: March 1-4, 2007
Thursday -
Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Sunday, 2:00 p.m.
Meany Studio Theater
Choreographers (click for more information)
Dance Majors who have completed a total of three comp courses are eligible to create a piece for the Dance Major Concert. This means Comp I as well as two other Comp courses (Comp II and/or III can be taken out of sequence and be repeated. Elizabeth Spatz’s Dance 490, Summer A 06, also counts as a composition course).
Dancers (click for more information)
Dancers can be in a maximum of two pieces per quarter and must register for a technique class in the quarter of the concert. The dancers have to be available for all the showings, technical and dress rehearsals as well as performances. Any possible conflicts need to be communicated as soon as possible.
