Adam is currently working for Dr. Jenkins on a derelict fishing gear project aimed at estimating fishing loss in the U.S. as a result of ghost fishing. He earned a Master's of Marine Affairs from the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs (SMEA) at the University of Washington in June 2013. His Master's thesis used social network analysis to examine how structural network characteristics influence the functionality of bridging organizations within a marine/coastal governance framework. Before entering SMEA, Adam earned a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Pennsylvania. His prior work experience includes internships with the Center for Ocean Solutions in Monterey, CA and The Nature Conservancy in Seattle, WA as well as field research with the Wildlife Conservation Society at Glovers Atoll, Belize.

Stacia joins the team as a Postdoctoral Research Associate for Dr. Kiki Jenkins. She is working on the NSF funded Human Dimensions of Tidal Energy grant assessing public values and perceptions of tidal energy and exploring the potential for anticipatory governance of tidal energy. She earned an interdisciplinary PhD from the University of Maine in Environmental Psychology and Behavioral Economics in 2014. Her dissertation research focused on acceptance of and support for environmental policies aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions, focusing on perceptions of the policies and economic ideology. She received her M.Ed. in Environmental Education from Western Washington University and her B.A. in Psychology from Truman State University. Her work utilizes an interdisciplinary perspective combining psychology, economics, and environmental studies. Her interest in renewable energy and associated technologies has brought her to SMEA. Before joining SMEA, she was a research fellow with the Sustainability Solutions Initiative at the University of Maine, as well as an Endeavour Award recipient where she held a 6-month fellowship at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation in Perth, Western Australia.
