Discuss Agenda

Discussion: Kazu brought up the first agenda item to discuss agenda of today’s meeting. Rob, Becky and Tim agreed that it looked good, and no changes were made.

Discuss Group Process

Discussion: Kazu said he thought it was going good and he thought we were ahead of where other groups were at. Tim expressed that he felt a little left behind as far as our understanding of what the project was, as Becky and Rob had emailed back and forth quite a lengthy discussion on how to implement the graph. Becky and Rob had cc’d Tim and Kazu with the final email that had all the discussion threads in it and asked for their input. Tim was just concerned that others might think he wasn’t towing his weight because we went ahead of where we had decided to be as a group. Kazu gave input that he thought it was OK, and Becky and Rob didn’t think that Tim was falling behind in his responsibilities since we chose to talk about the graph structure. Becky and Rob felt it was necessary discussion to figure out the methods in the graph class for the UML class diagram.

Discuss Feedback on SRS:

Discussion: Tim agreed to meet with Josh on Monday during his office hours, and Rob will try and come too, if traffic allows, to discuss some of Josh’s comments on our SRS.

Topics to discuss include:
1. The missing definition of transitive closure, it was there it was in the definitions, just not well defined.
2. Clarification as to if Josh expects us to make changes to the SRS based on his comments vs. it is a good thing if we do, but not expected.
3. We did specify the user interface details in our nonfunctional rec’s, was this not the place to do it, or did he miss it all together?
4. The missing detailed explanation of what we are going to do for the client that Josh brought up in class, that no group did, where SHOULD that have gone and didn’t we have it on our home page or in section 1a. scope and purpose of SuD?

Rob recommended that we redo all definitions and make all changes as part of improving the document. Becky suggested that we do that tonight since the sequence diagrams are based on the user-goal level use cases and we want to work on the sequence diagrams individually over the weekend. Kazu added that we should wait on the domain use case revision and the Data Objects until later. Rob made the changes and the decisions made were too numerous to list in this document. Please see the SRS and its change log when turned in with the SDS for changes made.

Kazu will check into the problems we had with some of our links as he has Linux at home and can make sure they ALL work properly. Becky and Rob will work on the domain use case this weekend since we did the original one. Tim and maybe Rob, will meet with Josh on Monday to clarify SRS comments.

Discuss SDS, step 1 and Step 2

Discussion: Rob explained the research he had done on the API for Java classes to help in reading and parsing web pages, etc. This changed the UML class diagram a bit and he passed out copies of the changes he saw needed to be made due to his research. Rob suggested we take the diagram and individually continue working on it and complete the sequence diagrams over the weekend as best we can. Tim brought up that we are all a little vague on the graph still, so we should all research graphs and we can discuss again on Monday when we make a final draft of class diagram.

Becky, Rob, Tim and Kazu are to individually finish the UML class diagram and to complete the sequence diagrams for our 2 user-goal level use cases and have done by Monday. Kazu will post the revised SRS to the document repository so we can all access it for our sequence diagrams.

Summarize Responsibility

Discussion: Becky summarized what was discussed and who will do what: Tim and maybe Rob will meet with Josh during office hours on Monday to clarify our questions on the SRS comments. Kazu will check into the problems we had with some of our links as he has Linux at home and can make sure they ALL work properly. Becky and Rob will work on the domain use case this weekend since we did the original one. Becky, Rob, Tim and Kazu are to individually finish the UML class diagram and to complete the sequence diagrams for our 2 user-goal level use cases and have done by Monday. Kazu will post the revised SRS to the document repository so we can all access it for our sequence diagrams.
