About Me
I am a Senior Lecturer at the University of Washington Information School. I teach courses in web development, mobile application development, software architecture, and introductory programming.
While I primarily focus on teaching, my past research interests include games and gamification, pervasive systems, computer science education, and social computing. I've also done research on crowdsourcing systems, human computation, and encouraging environmental sustainability. If you are a student and are interested in these topics, please contact me!
I earned my M.S. and Ph.D. in Information and Computer Sciences from the Informatics department at the University of California Irvine, where I worked with Bill Tomlinson. I earned my B.A. in Mathematics and English from Colorado College.
