Homework Assignments for Week 7

Week 7

For Monday, Nov. 3:

1. Using the vocabulary sheet given on directions, prepare a 3-4 minute oral presentation, giving directions to some location (UW to the airport; UW to your home; U District to Fremont etc).

2. Memorize as much of the vocabulary sheet as possible.

For Wednesday, Nov. 5:

Prepare for Group Work on past events by reviewing the corrections on your written assignment, and preparing some sample questions and answers. A review of the topics:

Why and when you started learning Hindi;

Where you've been in the world and what you did there;

What you did on your last birthday/holiday; what was your favorite thing you did on birthday or holiday;

Tell some funny story or anecdote (extra points for this one!).

For Friday, Nov. 7:

To prepare for next week’s work with Door into Hindi (A Scary Story), record yourself telling a short scary story. You’ll get feedback, and then you’ll tell your scary story in next Wednesday’s class.
