Shara Feld
Former M.S. Student, now working with Professor S. Bolton
Shara is a graduate of Dartmouth college with a bachelors degree in
earth science. After graduation she managed a mountain lodge in New
Hampshire, then moved to Seattle to work at a wind energy consultancy
where she conducted resource estimates and feasibility studies.
Her interest in water, mountains and resource assessment brought her
to the mountain hydrology group, where she wrote a Master's Thesis on atmospheric moisture distributions in complex terrain in the Sierra Nevada, California. She developed an interest in public health and is now working on water and health issues in Peru.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, skiing of all varieties,
biking, climbing, culinary adventures and Seattle through the back
door.
