Kael Martin

Kael received his BSCE from the UW Civil and Environmental Engineering department in 2010 with emphasis in hydrology and structural engineering. After running the Cedar River field campaign for the winter of 2010-2011, he researched methods of estimating snow retention in trees using strain gauges to measure trunk compression for his MSCE, completed in summer 2012. Born and raised in Bellingham, Washington, Kael has always been drawn to the outdoors. He enjoys camping, hiking, climbing, and snowboarding in his free time and enjoys research in the Cedar River Watershed.
