Courtney E. Moore

Former M.S. Student, now working for U.S. Forest Service

Ms. Moore graduated from Mount Holyoke College with a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies, and Music. She began working in Yosemite for the summer field season of 2008 and managed the Tuolumne Meadows field project until she completed her M.S. degree in summer 2011.

Her thesis focused on how changes in channel geometry can be used to alter groundwater levels in Tuolumne Meadows and inform a comprehensive view of restoration techniques in a changing climate. Her personal interests tend towards travel, outdoor activities, musical appreciation and performance, and discovering Seattle's fine eating establishments. She is currently researching streamflow and water quality in Leavenworth, WA with the U.S. Forest Service.
